2019 Ford F-350 Review

When it comes to full-sized heavy-duty pickup trucks, there's really no substitute for the Ford F-350 Super Duty. It's the top of the line in the Ford F-series, the bestselling lineup of pickups in the nation for many decades. It offers bone-crunching power and torque, incredible payload and towing capacity, and an ease of handling combined with a hardworking attitude that no other competitor has managed to best yet.

As the latest models begin to roll out for next model year at Fred Beans Ford, it's time for drivers across the Langhorne and Bensalem areas of the Philadelphia region to find out what they can get out of this great truck. Let's review the new 2019 Ford F-350 in depth and see where you can go for a look in person.

2019 Ford F-350

This year's Ford F-350 arrives on the scene with a brand-new Lariat sport package that gives a number of sleek features. Also new this year is a different, upgraded sound system by B&O, replacing last year's Sony system.

There are two V8 engines in the lineup, a 6.2L and a turbocharged 6.7L. The base level engine gives you 385 horsepower with 430 lb-ft in torque. Upgrading to the turbo engine nets you 450 horsepower backed up by a whopping 935 lb-ft of torque. Either engine choice is driven by a 6-speed automatic and is standard in rear-wheel drive with an option for four-wheel drive. Also optional is a dual back axle.

Towing and Hauling Capacity

The vast majority of people who buy a pickup in this class do so for its sheer performance. The Ford F-350 does not disappoint. Even with the basic 6.2L V8 engine, you'll get a whopping 15,000 pounds of towing capacity and a maximum cargo payload of 4,430 pounds. If you upgrade to the turbo 6.7L engine, you'll get an 18,000-pound towing capacity with a maximum payload of 4,710 pounds.

Both of these assume the proper equipment and 4WD configuration. In the end, the Ford F-350 offers best-in-class towing and hauling capacity. No matter what size trailer you need to pull, whether it's a small camper, a speedboat, or a large flatbed, you'll get there with the F-350.

Cargo Space

Of course, while cargo capacity is important, so is the room you have to put things in the bed. The 2019 F-350 comes with several configurations: regular, extended (Super Cab), and crew cab versions, as well as 6-foot, 8-inch bed or 8-foot, 2-inch bed. Go for the longer bed and you'll even be able to throw full sheets of plywood in the back of your truck, so there won't be any concerns at all about fitting whatever cargo you need to fit in the back of your truck.
